I have been Principal at T. A. Dugger since Spring 2018, and previously served as Assistant Principal since Spring of 2015. Prior to becoming a principal, I taught Social Studies at T.A. Dugger starting in 2007. While at TAD I have coached baseball and football, as well as, sponsor the annual Washington D.C. trip. I enjoy working alongside teachers and staff that I consider to be family!

I received my Bachelor of Arts in History/Education from ETSU in 2006. I earned my Masters in Administration and Educational Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University in 2013 and my Educational Specialist Degree from Union College in 2014.

I am happily married to Angie Berry and have a six-year-old boy named Weston and a three-year-old daughter named Ella. I am extremely proud and thankful for my family! I enjoy the outdoors, sports, and time with my family. I am also very involved with the Piney Flats Volunteer Fire Department.

Jason CarterAssistant Principal, Athletic Director
Jason Carter

I have been Assistant Principal/ Athletic Director at T.A. Dugger since 2012. I served in the classroom at T.A. Dugger from 2001-2012 teaching all grade levels of science as well as coaching football and baseball. It has been an honor to work at this school developing life long friendships with colleagues I have grown to love.

My teaching career began in 1992 at Happy Valley Middle School. I taught ELA and also coached basketball and football during my tenure from 1992-2001. My experience at Happy Valley better prepared me for my transition to T.A. Dugger and still have friends teaching there today.

I have been married to my wife Susan since 1993 and have two boys Eric (attending University of Tennessee Pharmacy School) and Evan (attending Elizabethton High). We spend lots of time together as a family doing all types of outdoor activities.
